Anchoring Innovation is very happy to announce its new co-coordinator: Sven Betjes!
I am Sven Betjes and as of this week I started as Suzanne’s fellow coordinator of Anchoring Innovation. On Mondays and Tuesdays you can reach me through anchoring@let.ru.nl. Besides coordinating (and regularly contacting you about) anything AI related, I will continue teaching and doing research in the field of Ancient History. In this respect, I have particular affinity with questions relating to cultural interaction and representation of power. For my PhD dissertation, which I defended at Radboud University in April 2022, I studied Roman imperial coinage, yet as of late I spent much of my research time on the way ancient roads responded to the cultural values of the landscapes they traversed.
Given that I often heard that people appreciated to finally put a face
to all the emails when I was coordinator of OIKOS from 2017 to 2019,
